Model Construction Sets,
more popularly known as model sets or kits,
are used to construct non-permanent molecular models.
The set contains a limited selection of parts
which can be assembled/disassembled into various models.
KitaMo Molecular Model Sets contain plastic beads and links.
Polyurethane beads with holes are used
to represent atoms/ions of various shapes
while pre-cut nylon links represent bonds.
Unlike other model sets,
KitaMo sets allow the use of other
readily-available materials as links
(e.g., toothpicks, wooden dowels, plastic tubing, metal rods).
This gives the model maker better control over the
scale and appearance of the model.
