KitaMo was born in the hobby workbench of a
Filipino engineer with a penchant for scale model aircraft.
Given the lack of physical molecular modeling materials in the Philippines and the relatively expensive imported versions, prototypes were built using locally-available parts
and improvised tools.
Motivated by a sincere desire to make quality molecular models available to the Filipino chemistry community at affordable prices,
the hobby transitioned into a small business enterprise.
KitaMo Molecular Models was introduced to the general public
in April 2012 at the 27th Philippine Chemistry Congress (PCC).
The 27th PCC was held at KitaMo's home city of Mandaluyong.

are designed and crafted with pride in the Philippines.
It is our hope that our models will fill
molecular visualization needs worldwide.
